3rd Grade fall short
In one of the closet Grand Finals seen for many years, Maddington went down to Cockburn with just 7 balls and one wicket remaining.
Maddington won the toss and batted first and scored 218, which looked a good score for a Grand Final. Thomas Plummer made 42 while
Anthony Richardson made a quick fire 70. At one stage, Maddington was 5-189 but lost their last 5 wickets for just 29. The following
day, even though the bowlers tried hard, wickets were hard to come by, with Cockburn making a number of good partnerships. Cockburns
9th wicket fell at 187, but a last wicket stand of 33 saw Cockburn score the winning run off the second last over of the game.
Thanks to all the supporters from both sides for their support and encouragement.

3rd Grade make Grand Final
Maddington won the toss and batted first against Armadale, and got off to a terrible start, loosing the first four wickets for
just 22 on the board. However, a 95 run partnership between Keith Mapstone and Mark Kingham steadied the innings. Kingy was dismissed for 45
while Mappy batted through the innings to remain not out with 82. Dennis Plummer scored some valuable runs at the end and Maddo finished with 8-195.
Chasing the runs, Armadale had a number of batsmen get starts, but none were able to go on with the job and were bowled out for 131. Dennis Plummer
was the pick of the bowlers with 4-29 with Peter Anderson taking 3-30. Man of the Match was Keith Mapstone.

Maddington wins One Day Premiership
3rd grade took on Kardinya in the One Day Final, and after a delayed start with the spinklers coming on, scored an impressive 7-245. Mark Fitzgerald
top scored with 72, with Matt Coleman scoring 53 and Anthony Richardson 51. Dean Fitzgerald scored a quick fire 28. Kardinya then played some good cricket
and after 30 overs were up with the required run rate, but loosing 2 wickets in one over and a couple of tight overs from Peter Anderson, saw the run rate
get to much for them, and Kardinya finished 23 runs short. Peter Anderson took 3-31 and Anthony Richardson took 3-49.
