Keith was the mainstay of Maddington's top side for three decades, playing 287 top side games between 1982 to 2011 (30 seasons). Keith was named in the clubs Team of the Decade three times, for the 1980's, 1990's and 2000's.
Keith was not only captain of the top side for a number of seasons, he was also club coach and in later years mentor to a number of younger players at the club. Such was Keith's contribution to the club, that the Keith Mapstone Medal was created, awarded to the club player who scores the most runs in a season.
