30th October 2025
Vale Doug and Ray Bushby
Doug was one of four brothers who played with Maddington in the 1960s, 1970s and even 1980s. A premiership team-mate in a very young 3rd grade team 1969/70.
Sadly we heard last night that Doug’s older brother Ray has also passed on in November last year.
Ray was a great mentor and captain of the club’s B grade team when Alby and Trevor first started playing in the 60s. A great bloke who looked after everyone.
Two well respected former members of the MCC. RIP
